Rats

Had this cage over a year now and its in excellent condition. I have 12 rats in and plenty of space! Got extra chubes for added fun, a few more shelves and a few igloos. Made a rat-swing by hanging a metal hanging basket from the top bars and putting a plastic mixing bowl in. They LOVE it! It all washes well. One tiny comment... its so big I cant reach rats the dont want to be caught -) so sometimes only get to handle a few at cleaning time! Would be better if you can get extra sides that have doors!!! Are these available? I use the carefresh pet bedding. The little darlings push it out the top cage bars, onto the dog...who distributes it around the front room...oh well, nowt Furplast can do about that... EXCELLENT CAGE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Furet Tower

This is an amazing cage to breed chinchilla's in! There is so much space for them to hop around in and if they want to get away from each other they can. It's amazingly easy to clean as you can just open each door and reach in. When there are babies around, you can just make sure they are all in either the top or bottom part and clean away, then do the reverse. I would reccommend this cage to anyone who values there pets welfare, it gives them room for so many toys! At the moment i have 2 adults and 3 rather large baby chinchilla's and there's never a problem. I also like the fact that they can have a good old chew on the bars and nothing comes off in their mouth, unlike previous cages i have bought! Well done Ferplast!!!

Furet Tower - Rat House

The Furet Tower is an excellent home for rats. Its got plenty of room & is really easy to keep clean - the huge doors help. I would recommend this to any rat lover! The only thing i would ask is could Ferplast please make one with metal bases & indestructable tubes, ladders etc for my destructive Degus!?!

I have this cage for my 5 huge male ferrets and 1 not exactly small female ferret, there is plenty of room for all of them, two litter pans and two bowls.
Mine's now over a year old (bought in Sept 2006) and still in perfect condition.
I suggest leaving the casters off unless you really do need them, one of mine got caught in carpet and broke.

I love this cage and so do my girls. It's very easy to clean. I have 9 girls that love the masses of climbing space they have. The bar spacing is fantastic even for the smallest of does. Also a great cage for boys with lots of rough and tumble floor space. It's pricey but it's dead worth it, I can see it lasting me years and years and unless there wasn't something new and similar on the market I'd stick to a tower. The tubes, ladders and shelves are fantastic. No where near as wobbly as some of the other cages on the market and I have big girls that need sturdy platforms! My only improvement would be to add doors to the sides aswell!

Ferplast Furet Tower Cage

I moved my 4 boys into this cage a few weeks ago. I love that they have loads of room. Its easy enough to assemble with 2 people, however it takes 2 people to clean it out. you need a lot of room to dissasemble it to clean it.

rat cages

I have had rats now for 3 years and for the last 2 years i had been convinced i had the perfect rat cage but recently i bought this cage and it is amazing my rats are constantly bounding up to the tubes to the top compartment, lazin about on the hammock. even with out all the extres that come with it this cage is perfect for rats. i have 7 rats and theres no problem about space in this cage.
